Volvo Key Fob Troubleshooting

Volvo drivers love the remote control features of their key fob. They can lock and unlock their vehicle or start the motor and even find it using a smartphone application.

Place the fob's front up on a clean surface. Locate the button that releases it, insert an object between the cover and the fob and pull it up gently.

Unlocking the Doors

Use a fingernail to remove the cover from the back of the key fob. A button should be placed underneath the cover on an angle that is near the edge of the body. You can remove it by sliding it downwards and then to the right. The cover will fall out and slide off, revealing the manual key blade! If you're still having trouble finding the button, look around the newly revealed manual key access area to see whether there's a hidden slot or lever.

Close the Windows
